 He is quite a yummy character isnt he? ^^, just kidding. But I have listened to just a handful of his music, so i will have to listen to the music that I have just gotten, but I like his music. As some of you might be able to tell I like very many different genres of music. Pop, rock, deathmetal...is that right?...deathmetal...yeah. Uh, rap (some) and just a few other things as well. gackt is the fist japanese person that I heard at my house. And his voice...is nice. Though his fanservice is not much appreciated to me. ^^, he is pretty good, and pretty as well. ^^

I'm not really his fan, actually. But some days ago accidentally I found an article about him in a magazine and I read it just for fun. Well, I must say that I was surprised knowing that he's very good in fighting.  In fact, he's been already used to fight since he was a little boy. Back then, beside drumsticks, Gackt usually brought a crowbar (!!) everywhere.  You know, as 'a preparation' for fight ^^; In 2002 when Gackt went to Madagaskar for a NHK's programme, he got chance to fight an African fighter. And he actually won! ;D Though invincible he seems, there's one person he can't ever defeat; that is his father.  Another Gackt's eccentricity is he hates electric lamp. Not only his eyes can't stand its light but also his ears are very sensitive to its humming. So, no wonder his house is always dark.  Gackt also has bad habit in destroying electronic devices. Up till now, he's wrecked 13 cars and damaged almost a dozen of laptops. Not forgetting, some playstations, too! So, urged by my curiosity for further information about Gackt, I visited his official website - www.dears.ne.jp - and read his diary there. Hm... it's very interesting to find out his vision in life and music. Furachi no otoko, demo omoshiroi! |

 Looks more like a woman than a man, eh?! I think so, with all his make up (gosh, he's prettier than me! ;D), that's why I was surprised that behind his feminine look, he actually can fight. Guess, appearance really deceives. I can read a little Japanese, but not very good, I'm afraid. Got someone to translate it for me. ;D

Yeah actually, just looking at the magazine/CD covers, it's hard to tell whether he's a man or woman. If I've to guess, I've to stare really hard first. Maybe in person, he looks more masculine. Mm...yeah, I don't see any muscles on him and he doesn't seem the fighting sort... Oh, I see, you got someone to translate for you! That's nice! Mm...I've been waiting for someone to translate the PeaceMaker Kurogane interview for me...the interview under the Japanese Culture section... I thought that if you could read Japanese, I might finally be able to understand the interview.... Ah, daijoubu. I'll just wait patiently...

One day I went to a bookstore and a magazine stole my attention because its cover had a gorgeous guy in leather jacket with a cool bike. I wondered who it was. I picked it up and found out that he was Gackt. I had to double-checked the name (you know, maybe my eyes played trick on me) but yeah, it was Gackt; minus his make up and feminine appearance. What a shock! ;D On that cover he definitely looked like a man. Hm...let's see if I can do something about it. But I can't promise. Hey, if I get some information about pm kurogane by any chance, will you be interested? I mean, despite of the interview you've been longing to know. |

Yeah, when I saw some of the photos in the Moonchild reviews, I thought Gackt looked quite masculine. He's quite tall, his shoulders are broad and he seemed bigger-sized than Hyde. Only his face was less manly than the rest of him....probably too much powder Oh, yeah! Definitely, it'll be great if I can finally understand the Kurogane interview. Thanks for offering to help! gackt is acctually quite manly.
It is just that for many photoshoots they make him all pretty. They do that with pretty much all japanese bands most of the time.
Dir en grey has that happen.
And he has quite a bit of muscle as well.....its just that while he has all this muscle he has no body fat.
He used to be chubby in highschool

I saw Gackt on the front cover of a Japanese magazine the other day. Yeah, he looks 100% female Really. It's amazing. I think it's his jaw and his eyes...he has a rather small/narrow feminine chin and his eyes look soft and gentle.... Mm...maybe the guys are made to look pretty because Japanese girls prefer them that way? Japanese girls like pretty guys?  Oh, Iwakami, have you seen the Moonchild movie starring Gackt and Hyde? |

But they look so much ike women when they dress up b/c they are japanese. They are thin, and they are short, so they have bodies like some women do............except they dont have breasts or a thingy (sorry If I am unallowed to say that -__-)
But I think that they do it as a way of rebellion. To go against what most people are used to. I think it is awesome, a guy is more.......interesting and cool if he does not care to wear womens cloths.
But whatever. Its just what they do.

Well, yeah Yuta, I keep seeing Japanese magazines with Gackt on the front cover. Considering the many times he keeps appearing, he's really very popular.
But the magazines might be Fashion or some other type of magazine. Just that he's on the front cover. Hahaha.....I don't read Japanese so I don't know what type of magazines they are. They look like Fashion mags to me. Or maybe Men's mags. Hahaha!!!
I guess you don't see Japanese magazines in Canada? I haven't seen Gackt appearing in English magazines, so maybe that's why you're surprised to hear us talking about him appearing in mags.
You're into Gackt too, Yuta? I'm just here because I saw everyone talking about a very interesting person with a very interesting name whom I had never heard of. Hahaha......
