What motivates you to keep writing Iwakami?

motivation?
Uh......ideas? When I come up with a cool idea or story I will feel like writting it down, and when I dont feel that I have much good ideas any more I will stop until I feel like it again. But....profit, is somewhat of a motivation. So is wanting to put my thoughts and words out into the world, and get some sort of recognition, or familiarity.

Yeah, it's the urge to communicate and be recognized. Ah....are you thinking of J K Rowling?

Mmm.....it's been a while, Iwakami. I apologise for not seeing this earlier Since you mentioned that profit is one of the motivations for you to write, I was wondering if you were thinking of making millions like J.K. Rowling. Hahaha..... Oh? You feel the Potter books are better than the movies?? I was thinking the other way around. Hahaha!!! Somehow, I can never read J.K. Rowling or any other authors who write for children/teens. I know lots of adults read Potter, but to me, the writing is just very different from what I'm used to. Mm....I tried reading Rowling. Really tried but could only read a few paragraphs before letting it go. Mm.....Have you read the books by this guy called Eoin Colfer? He wrote Artemis Fowl. I managed to read the first chapter and it's quite funny. Also, there's this very good, exciting book for teens, which I think is better than Rowling. The Amulet Of Samarkand[/b] by Jonathan Stroud. I only read the first chapter and it's really good and funny. Better than Artemis Fowl. Very unconventional and cool. I was supposed to get it from the public library but somehow forgot about it since last year. HAHAHAHA!!!!! Mm....I think I'll try getting it the next time I'm at the library.

I'm planning on getting my spanish book "Golpear El Tigre" (Punch The Tiger) published, someday, because it rocks. You liked the the harry potter movie better than the books? My opinion is that all books are better than the movies! I'm just too lazy to read them....XD also I have proof that Harry Potter was actually ripped of Star Wars!

Punch the Tiger.......it sounds very familiar.......Didn't you mention it somewhere here before? So it's a book and not a manga? What's it about? Why is it in Spanish?? Ehh?? Nader feels that all books are better than movies?? Oh, too lazy to read books?? But how can write a book if you're too lazy to read books?? Mm. Yeah, I prefer the Potter movies because I feel that Rowling's writing doesn't work for me. The movies are more exciting with the effects and more grabbing way of telling the story. Yeah, I guess in a way books are better than movies because they let your imagination go. Each person interprets things differently from the same piece of writing. So, it's different for each reader. What the author sees in his/her mind is not the same as what the reader imagines. So that's the fun bit sometimes. Books give readers the freedom of imagination, unlike movies that show everything. But these days, movies like LOTR are pretty fun too. Hahaha.....people have been wondering what J.R.R. Tolkien would say if he saw the movies. Hahaha...... Oh yeah, why would you have the opinion that all books are better than movies if you're too lazy to read books?? I think it's the same as when you said that Ocean's Twelve was good when you fell asleep Hahaha!!! Yeah, with proof like that, Harry Potter looks like it was ripped off from Star Wars The similarities are astounding Where did you find it? So, it's by this person called nickgeorge? Oh, who's the cool guy in your sig?

It's in spanish because it was a spanish project.
I might be lazy but that dosnt mean I dont read at all. I also like writing, probably better than reading. It really depends.
The Guy in my sig is Kenshin Himura as a Battosai, just when he stabs Tomoe, I believe.

and ALL BOOKs are better than the movies, you know the thoughts, and its just cool, you get a more mental picture of things.

Mm....in some ways books are better than movies, but I wouldn't say that All books are better than movies. It really depends, I think.
For me, Harry Potter movies are better than the books because I don't enjoy reading Rowling's writing. For LOTR, I've read the book and think the movies are better because the visuals and music are really awesome and fantastic.
Books allow readers to imagine whatever they want and that's the advantage, whereas in movies, the visuals and music are really amazing.
I think the only time when books are better than movies is when the movies cut back on parts of the story that make the books great. Certain things the movies don't explain well or can't elaborate due to budget or time constraints.

yeah, I suposse so. But I think that what I meant was that they are in the sense that you get the characters "thoughts" and emotions more clearly, and when in a movie you dont know what it is that they are thinking and feeling, you just get a visual. And it depends upon the actor as well.

Mm *nods* Yeah. Agree with that. You can't hear the characters' thoughts and know their feelings if just watching the movie. There's just the facial expressions and actions. But still....movies have their own beauty. Mm... Also, for books, readers can interpret or imagine the scenes in their own way, so it depends very much on your imagination. Whereas in movies, everything is given to you in a visual way, as they are. Not much room for mental activity or imagination. Hahahaha!! But I still wouldn't say that All books are better than the movies. It depends. The thing about sweeping statements is that there're bound to be exceptions. So, I keep my stuff open and wouldn't completely rule out the other. So, how are your books, Iwakami?
