Mmm. A few pics too big, so I made them back into links. I like the Nemo one and the college humour with MacDonalds. Hahaha.....the Nemo one is quite horrible but cute in a horrible sort of way. I watched a few episodes of Samurai Champloo some time back and wanted to talk about it here, but somehow never got round to doing it. Wonder if there's even a Samurai Champloo thread here *eyes big* Well, anyway, the anime is very, very cool even though I've only watched a few starting episodes. The rental shop didn't have any more. Mm....I was supposed to download it but didn't get round to doing that either. Have you watched all 26 episodes of it already?? Mmm.....What does PWNED mean?? |

Definition of pwned: A corruption of the word "Owned." This originated in an online game called Warcraft, where a map designer misspelled "owned." When the computer beat a player, it was supposed to say, so-and-so "has been owned." Instead, it said, so-and-so "has been pwned." It basically means "to own" or to be dominated by an opponent or situation, especially by some god-like or computer-like force. Definition of owned: To be made a fool of; To make a fool of; To confound or prove wrong; embarrasing someone: Being embarrased. Ah ha! Thanks Shoe for that very interesting information about Pwned Seems there are a lot of definitions for it, a lot of different opinions. But the main one is that it was a typing error. Should've been "owned", meaning totally beaten/defeated, but due to typing error, became "pwned" since "p" is beside "o" on the keyboard. I read the stuff on that urban dictionary link you gave Really interesting. I also found out what 1337 means. It's a gamer/hacker lingo for "elite". Amazing. But this "sub-culture" language is now thought to be uncool and out-of-date. Hehehe...thanks again for that link, Shoe It was most insightful. |

If I wanted to make my own avvie (which I have already) I would simply capture the video portion I would like, save it as a photo sequence, then open the sequence in imageready. I would then delete several slides to fasten the transition, resize, and finally if I wanted to, add text. |
