oh, your scanner is broken chateubriand? really? are you sure? i'm disappointed!  so kiyosaki didn't show up? well, if you really read the book and compare them to reality in developing country, many things in his book are inapplicable. at least that's what i think. his investing suggestions in stocks, bonds, etc can only be applied in us or any other country w/ solid economy. in developing country the stocks can be easily played by a few ppl w/ strong funds. but some of his theory are good though, really make sense. but i don't really into them. you know, i think to be rich is not abt books. it's abt playing the game. it's a difficult game. so my hats off for everyone who can be rich on their own struggle, no inheritance, no lottery winning, just their effort. *thumbs up* and there is an utterance which i really like from a local movie is : business is dirty, if you don't wanna get dirty, then don't play. but if you don't play, how can you get your share of fortune? however, i believe we shall all know the line, otherwise, christmas carol can happen to us. ;D in the meantime, i'm waiting for chateubriand's scanner to recover so that i can see how "cute and handsome and sexy" he is. hope it's soon chateubriand. ;D |

Hahaha....I like your "business is dirty..." line, Rhein It's quite true in a way, but is business really dirty? Mm...I think a person has to be smart to do business or rather, be business smart. It's not about having good grades at school. It's about having business intelligence which somehow, some people seem to be born with, even though they get lousy grades at school. ah, you're not going to post your pic anyway. tsk, tsk, tsk, chateubriand, you get us disappointed. i've been hoping to know how you really look like. well, tk, business is dirty, coz somewhat ppl need to lie in a business. be it small lies, or big one. especially when it comes to selling their products and their prices. there must be some little lies in it to provoke ppl to buy and so on. if you notice, there a lot of ppl who aren't good at school become a good enterpreneur. they aren't interested at school at all. lots of 'em even think of it as a waste, just theory which is different from reality. they just like to jump straight into business. and most of them succeed. |

Ah, yeah, Reverie, in business, you can't be too honest. But I don't think business is dirty in that sense. Products have to be sold through clever marketing tactics. May not necessarily be lies because if the product isn't as good as it should be, then people won't buy. I guess when you say "business is dirty", it depends on what sort of business we are talking about. Some businesses are dirty in the sense that they try and kill each other off through unscrupulous methods.
Yeah, I notice that many entrepreneurs don't have much schooling and believe that going to school is not really important. They can make lots of cash even without going to school. But I think that's quite a narrow view and I'm pretty surprised that entrepreneurs think that way.
Maybe the education system is not good. But it's still important to learn about things and be educated in science and other subjects. It's not about making lots of money but knowing about things besides money.
Of course, school and making money are 2 different things. But to say that school is useless is not entirely correct.
