I was wondering last night while watching TV...If I could be someone else for one day, who would it be? Bon Jovi was singing and it looked great being him. Handsome, loved, rich... Then I began wondering some more and suddenly, I wanted to try out a lot of people including anime characters!! F4's Vic Chou or Jerry Yen? Inuyasha? My favourite seiyuu Kazuhiko Inoue or Takehito Koyasu? Or Shinichirou Miki?? ARRGH...!! I became quite confused *sigh* It's not the first time I've wondered about being someone else. Ah, so, who would you want to be then, assuming it's completely possible to choose? Just for one day...

I would be.... well, i can't think of one person, so here is a list:
- Nicholas Wolfwood (trigun) He is so cool, and maybe i can avoid myself from being killed.
- Keitaro Urashima (Love Hina) He is so damn lucky.. having lots of girls liking him.. too bad Naru always knocks him around.
- Ryousuke (Initial D) He is soooo cool, and his car is cool too. I would love to be him and drift, and race with other street racers.
- Legato Bluesummers (Trigun) Man.. coolest character ever... he looks cool and his special ability is cooler. I would love to kill people with my mind powers.

Well, I'm afraid you've gotta choose one person, The Shoe - since it's just for one day. Legato Bluesummers sounds great - killing people with his mind power! As for me.... maybe I'd like to become (still) myself but with different personality, attitude and way of thinking. I really wanna know how 'the other me' dealing with my life - is it better or worse than the real me now. Teahouse keeper, are you really want to be Jerry Yen!?

Well.. Legato Blusummers it is.. hehehe, i can then take revenge on all who had annoyed me in my life.. starting with the teachers.

Whoa! I think I wouldn't mess up with you, The Shoe! Yeah, revenge would be sweet! Umm...when you're done with your revenge and if there's still time left for you to be Legato, would you help me terminating annoying 'bugs' in my life?

I would finish killing everyone i hate in a matter of seconds... I just make each one of them rip their hearts out with thier own hand. After that i would help you.. and after that, i would wanna try and see how Legato (me) would look like if i was out of character.. as in, if i were hyper instead of serious. lol

Oh my goodness...I imagine people ripping their hearts out like demons. Blood dripping from their claw-like hands. Blood splattered everywhere. Oh...It's scary, The Shoe *shudders* And you're going to help Pippichan? Argh, too bad I haven't seen Trigun. I only watched the first few episodes on VHS which I borrowed from the library. That's all they got, unfortunately. I haven't had the chance to meet Legato and Wolfwood whom I've heard so much about. I haven't seen Initial D either I have the impression that it's all about car racing. Well, what's Initial D really about, The Shoe? Ah, Pippichan, interesting thought you have there So, you want to look the same but be different inside? But with a different personality, attitude and way of thinking...you wouldn't be you anymore. You would be someone else in Pippichan's body Why? You don't like Jerry Yen? Mm...yeah, I want to know what it's like being him for one day. Even if it's a miserable day, I want to try on his body. Go to photo shoots etc. Feel what it's like having his face and body... If not Jerry Yen, then Vic Chou will do. I just want to taste their famous lives Right now, I can only imagine what it's like being them and it's useless. Just for one day, I want to wake in Jerry Yen's or Vic Chou's body Assuming of course, that they are alive and well at the time it happens....

Hahaha! I imagine you wake up in Jerry or Vic's body when they're sick. Worse, when neither of them are alive! Sorry, I just can't help laughing at the thought! Yeah, I wanna know how does it feel to have multiple personalities....but just for one day. I don't want some psycho trapped in my body forever! ;D Why does everyone want to be famous? It's not as fun as you may think. Got no privacy, always have to wear perfect smile and behaviour in front of public. It's tiresome to be famous, I think. Oh, The Shoe, thanks for your generosity. Let me make a list first and then you can start to act.

Iwakami, how can you be someone you can't remember? Well, I hope you remember.... Yeah! Pippichan, that's why have to be very careful when making a pact with the devil Imagine...trapped in a dead body for 1 whole day!! *horror* I'd be screaming and nobody can hear... Ah...the desire for fame is a little hard to explain. It comes down to the fear of death, the extinction of the Self. When a person dies, everything that he once was, is gone. Completely erased as if he had never existed. This is a very frightening thought for many people. For writers, singers, composers etc., their works live on in people's minds long after they're gone. Even though they are dead, their feelings and thoughts still exist in the form of books, music etc. So, death did not completely erase them. They have achieved immortality. Their bodies are gone, but they still exist. So even though fame is troublesome, it's still very attractive. I wouldn't mind a day of "borrowed" fame Just to see what it's like.

Yeah, I understand that concept of immortality. But I think it's not just famous people who can achieve it. Even for someone who's ordinary, when he dies he still lives in his friends and family's rememberance. Maybe it won't be as glorious as a famous person, but it's a kind of immortality too. Hm...I wonder... when I die, will I still live in my friends and family's memory? Haaah, judging from their neglecting nature, I don't think so!

Er...Iwakami....that's KYO? Hot and yummy?? I was thinking more along the lines of: Hahaha...yeah, Pippichan, living in the memories of loved ones is a kind of immortality. But it's different from the kind of immortality that famous people achieve. First of all, people's memories are not reliable and not permanent. Also, it's just memories and not the mind of the person that is preserved. In the case of creative works, the mind of the creator is preserved. Especially for writers and composers, their thoughts are immortalised in their work. As long as there is one person on earth who still picks up their work, the authors/composers will continue living on through generations of humans, throughout the world. That is immortality of the mind and even the soul. Not even having children comes close to this kind of immortality. For actors/actresses, they are immortalised in films etc. Even in the far future, as long as there are people still interested, these actors/actresses will live on. Since real physical immortality is impossible for now, I believe leaving behind a body of creative work is the only path to immortality of the mind and spirit. Of course, there're people who feel that there's no need to be immortal as long as you're happy living your life now In a way, that's true, but then, what is the meaning of life? What is the purpose of existence? To have my mind erased like I never existed....it's just crazy. Hahaha...Pippichan, why strive to be remembered by your loved ones when you can be remembered by the world throughout the ages for all time?

Yeah, of course it'll be great to be memorized by the world. But not everyone has talents like artists/writers/composers. Or if they do, perhaps they just don't get chance to show the world their talents. So, how about it? And if everyone was famous, who'd be the fans? Without any fan, you can't be said famous. Hm... I guess that's why some people choose to carve their memories in criminal world. Serial murderers, terrorists - because they can't be superstars! Well, I'm not really happy with my life and I'm not sure if the memory of me worths preserved. But if I die and I want my family and friends to remember me - even if they try to forget me - I plan to be a ghost and haunt them in their lives and dreams. That way, they won't forget me!

ok, pie, you can haunt me but in a way that can help me to lead prosperous life, like telling me which soccer team will win in world series that i can win a lot of money from there. don't worry, i'll always remember you when you're gone. i'll remember how fussy you are. just kidding. but what if i die first? will you remember me then? if i can choose, i still wanna be me, physically and personality. but i want to have different life and chance. what if becoming a racer? i think it's fun, adventurous, cool. i always like speeding. sometimes i speed on my motorcycle. but to my surprise, i'm always lame on motorcycle and car racing game.

sometimes just i want to be me, the real "me". i mean is that for one day, i could express how i really feel about something,... anything. but then sometimes i want to be an assasin and set out on a special mission and stuff. hehe

Hahaha!! You're just like me, rhein! Always get off track and lose in racing game! Of course I'll remember you, rhein...although you call me fussy. *grumble* I'm not fussy... Hm... I know what you mean, Chateaubraind. Living in the world where we must compromise most of the times makes us unable to express what we truly think or feel 100%. There's always barrier that hold us down from being the real 'us'. Oh, you wanna be an assassin, too? Hm... maybe I'll hire you! ;D

Ah...Pippichan, you're scary you know? No wonder you're not scared of horror movies Haunting people, hiring assassins.... Yeah, not everyone has creative talents. I've thought about ordinary people, people without any creative talents.... Thing is, many people are happy about not being famous or creative. They don't think about getting erased and their idea of immortality is having children. They work to put food on the table and they don't mind being fans of actors/artists/writers etc. I think everyone is capable of the kind of immortality we are talking about. Everyone can be creative. It's just a matter of chance and desire. It's a pity that not everyone leaves behind a body of creative work, although I know that each person has his/her own way of living life. For those who are talented but not recognized....it's still possible to achieve immortality of the mind, as long as something of a creative nature is left behind to be discovered. I just don't want to remain a fan. Yeah! Pippichan! I didn't of criminals that way! I think it's true. They do get famous through their criminal activities, whether they want to or not. I don't think anyone would forget you, Pippichan. How to forget someone so scary? Oh, Rhein, you like speed? You mean you race actual cars? Or are you talking about computer games? Chateaubraind as an assassin. I wonder what you'll be wearing....yeah, it'd be fun living life dangerously. You sure you're ok about killing people? What's the real you? Are we seeing the real you here?

yup, i do like speeding. i speed on my real motorcycle. when the road is clear, it's always nice to speed. but when it's crowded, sometimes i feel proud if i can slip through some cars and get way ahead, leaving some cars and other motorcycle behind. but i know when to stop. i'm not stupid enough to smash my motorcycle. but i always loose in racing game. i think some of us is more real in this forum. it's easier to be real when you know no one really knows you, where you live, your private life, your family. sometimes family is our boundary that prevent us from being ourselves. for instance, my mom will get a heart attack if she sees me speeding. ;D and i think, ppl here are more open than in our environment. we respect each other here. we want this forum to be the place where we can be true and real, ay?

Now you call me scary...! But, it's ok, I think it's better to be scary than forgetted easily. ;D
I often think that way too; why people just happy doing this routine - born, grow up, work, get married, have children and then die. Don't they think that life isn't just about those things only!? I always believe there's gotta be more to life than that. And when I say that people tell me that what I'm saying it's cliche - just something to cover my failure in fulfilling one or two things of the routine.

why don't you tell them that you're unique and you just don't wanna be boring like them? i'm bored w/ some routines too. i mean if the routine's not boring, then why does ppl dream to be able to retire rich in young age? have you ever read kiyosaki's book, 'retire young retire rich'? that's my dream. ;D

I don't have to tell them They've already known that I'm 'unique'. And because of that I always get this weird look from them. Retired young retired rich!? Hm... I'm thinking about 'not working but rich'.

You guys are hilarious!!! It's nice to know Chateaubriand is weird like us Maybe even weirder than us Yeah, Chateaubriand, you'll have to wear black to blend in with the darkness as you go about your dark business. Yeah, Pippichan, I think running into Chateaubriand when he's wearing black is very dangerous and scary.... Oh hey, Rhein, you've read Kiyosaki's book? That book was very popular when it first appeared. It was a hot item on the booklist. I haven't read it, but recently there was a talk that was supposed to be conducted by him. It was a free talk and guess what? The talk was conducted by somebody else Well, what can one expect from a freebie? Yeah Pippichan!! Your mind is absolutely sharp when it comes to money Being rich without having to work is the best. Yeah Rhein, lottery or inheritance....it'll be great!! Then I can relax and enjoy myself for the rest of my life. Ahhhhh..... Actually, a lot of young people these days are tired of the same old rountine. In the past, people didn't mind working themselves dead for the sake of family etc. Nowadays, people just want to retire as early as possible so they can enjoy their life sooner. In the newspapers, it's reported that people don't want children because they prefer having lots of cash. Mm, yeah Rhein, you can be the real you here without being afraid your mom will get a heart attack ;D
