Mmm.... Finished reading Castle In the Air yesterday. It was supposed to be the sequel to Howl's Moving Castle novel. But....disappointing. Howl, Sophie & Calcifer don't appear till half of the book is gone & the focus is on a guy named....*thinks*....Abdullah. Yeah, I think it was Abdullah. And he was searching for his dream princess Flower-In-The-Night who was grabbed by a djinn called Hasruel who was controlled by his younger brother called Dalzel who was supposed to be beautiful & nuts about capturing all princesses including a 4 year-old. Mmm...after reading, I think Miyazaki can make it a better story, same way as he made Howl's Moving Castle better. The book is just too....here & there. Not grabby enough. It's just not tight or deep enough, although it is rather interesting to read. Mm....I guess it's more of a children's book than adult. But the humour & writing are rather more adult than what children might understand. So, it's kinda in between. But to be honest, I think it's not really that great. Story is kinda flat. And I really believe Miyazaki can make it better. Howl's Moving Castle book wasn't great either, but was better than this Castle In the Air sequel. It's not much of a sequel.
