One time my uncle let me and my cousin (Jessica) to watch one of his shows that was rated like 17 or 18 and in the first episode it already had a sex scene in it! It was kida weird but very funny. It was called 'Devil Hunter Yohko' or somethin.

I finished Robotech (finally), and I recently got Samurai Champloo, its kickass!!!!! I also really like the OST. The anime is made from the makers of kill bill, cowboy beebop,and Animatrix. If you like Gore, Awesome sword fights, and Comedy, you will like this.

Hee, been long time not dropping by here... This thread also been long time standing still... I guess I'll revive it then

So, even though it's soooooo mou osoi (by some years) I finally managed to watch Gundam Seed till finish (yay! though my pirated dvd got some problems but somehow still can see until the story ends) And at the moment I'm watching Gundam Seed Destiny (err... a problem occurs again, I hope I can watch till finish too this time ) I must say that watching destiny episodes so far, it's quite emotional for me than watching the previous seed, because aiyah, these ppl, why can't just live as one in peace (think they need to listen to John Lennon's song), though trying hard to create and maintain peace, there are still ppl in both earth alliance and ZAFT that wish to exterminate each other. Just a bit incident and it already triggers hatred and anger. Why can't just investigate first etc, aiyah.

And also the other thing that makes me emotional watching destiny is the fact that Cagalli almost sacrifice herself marrying that stupid annoying weasel the so-called 'her betrothed'. Aiyah, I was thinking, c'mon, must sacrifice that much meh for the country? That must ditch Athrun? (If she not want, then I'll pick him up ) I'd really like to see Athrun punch that annoying yuna roma for always coming near and touching Cagalli as he pleases! Hmph, unfortunately, Athrun's self restraint is too damn good, tsk! So, I shout at that weasel in his place, lah

Hm, yeah, from all female characters in Gudam Seed and Destiny, I like Cagalli. She's not pretty like Lacus (tho she can be pretty when being dressed up and put make up on), she's quite tomboy, ppl may think that she's a boy in first impression. Even Athrun also thought she's a boy when they first met as 'enemies' until they fought and he managed to pin her down with knife in his hand and she screamed. He was shocked, 'Onna (a girl)?'

She's also quite cute. The first time I saw Athrun laughing is when he saw Cagalli fell to a creek with hands and legs tied up and then a small crab crawling out of her hair. Athrun never laughs, ne, when he was with Lacus (his prearranged fiancee that time), at most he just smiles. Cagalli also cute when Athrun first hugged her, she was so surprised, eyes bulging, blushing and arms flapping in mid air XD

Anyway, it's good that Kira came during the ceremony with his mobile suit Freedom and took Cagalli away (scaring that stupid yuna roma so much that he scurries away). I was thinking that nobody would do anything to stop her (Athrun was at PLANT in outer space that time, he didn't know about the wedding until later). Cagalli scolded her brother while crying saying that she must do it for the country's sake (she can't choose Athrun openly for Athrun is a coordinator and the humans/naturals are already hostile again toward coordinators thanks to the incidents and provocations), just like she can't do anything to stop the council from making alliance with earth (tho their country, orb, is supposed to be a neutral country - the council kept cornering her by asking if she wanna burn down the country again like her late father in order just to defend his ideals). Kira said, making alliance may seem to save orb from earth alliance's attack and thus from being burnt down again the second time, but what if then, being an ally to earth, then they must attack other countries? He didn't want her to make wrong decision that she couldn't undo later and gave back Athrun's ring that she asked him to return in her place.

Meanwhile Athrun, hadn't known about the latest happenings in orb, departed from PLANT with the new mobile suit entrusted to him, Saviour (looks cooler than his Justice, tho also red color too, his mobile suits always red color) by the chairman of ZAFT. He actually reluctant at first, since he no desire to get back to the army, but the chairman said that in order to be able to protect anything/anyone dear to him, he needs power (and also about him being back to army is just a formality thing, he would be no under anyone's command). The reason Athrun then accepted, I think, it's because earlier when there was chaos at ZAFT armory caused by mysterious earth alliance pilots stealing the newest Gundam suits, being a civilian and no more has mobile suit of his own, he brought Cagalli into an abandoned Zaku (ZAFT's standard mobile suit) and no matter how a good pilot he is, he couldn't do much fighting against Gundam which is more superior. He could mostly evade, and still at some point an attack managed to hit the zaku and Cagalli was hurt though not serious.

So, Athrun back to orb, but of course being attacked since orb is now already in alliance with earth. So, he went to ZAFT base in Carpentia where he learnt everything. He was surprised hearing about the marriage told by Lunamaria (girl soldier who also a zaku pilot, who I suspect has crush on him), suitcase in his hand dropped at once, "K-Kekkon (marriage)!?" He of course already known about that 'bethotred thing' and that's why before he left to PLANT, he said to Cagalli that he knows what's going on with yuna roma and he doesn't like it, and he gave her that ring. But then he heard that Freedom (Kira) kidnapped her away in the middle of the ceremony and felt kinda at ease knowing that she should be alright with her brother.

Aiyah, I think Cagalli shouldn't follow his father's step being the representative of the orb, though it's his wish that she would create a new better world. Because, she's not a politican, she doesn't have it in her to play dirty tricks and speak empty words. That's why beginning of destiny, she looks different from in seed, because she's confined with the country's affairs etc, she should be free lah. Hm, from pictures I find online, I get impression that Athrun and her will get married eventually? I wonder if it's in anime or just fans doing... Well, let's just see... hopefully I can finish the anime without problems.

I'm also curious about that chairman... I wonder if he got 'something' with ZAFT soldier with long blond hair (who I thought as a woman at first) named Rey... Hmm...

Unfortunately, I don't think that the supposed to be new hero in destiny, shin asuka, as gorgeous or cool or attractive. He seems... well, just ok, so far to me. I'd say his fighting not as cool and swift as Kira or Athrun. And yeah, I know that in the first time knowing Gundam Seed, I liked Kira, but I think he's too crybaby for my taste. Athrun is stronger and more reliable, though he can also be kinda closed. But not shed tears in public doesn't mean he not feel anything, he just tends to do it secretly when emotional (ahem) *blinks*

She later on couldn't hold her tears back remembering her meeting with Athrun, them fighting together, times spent togehter and guess what the annoying yuna roma said? He said he hope those tears of joy! Tsk!

I've never regretted watching an anime before but I did - I still do - watching Gundam Seed Destiny. Athrun and Cagalli's relationship is the reason. For male fans, it maybe nothing bugging as long as they can see the gundams and the battles. For female fans who happen to like Athrun and Cagalli too, they may be pleased with the additional episode 51. It says that a drop of ink can spoil the whole pot of milk; every tiny detail is important to make one good story, so since the romance is there in the anmie, it's significant in a way. For me, the additional episode 51 doesn't make things better, instead makes me disappointed even more. Nobody can understand what I'm thinking and feeling about this matter, so let me try to make my point here.

So, continue on from what I posted earlier in this thread...

Not long after Cagalli being rescued by Kira from the political marriage and boarded Archangel, Orb which now already a part of EAF (Earth Alliance Force) assisted in assault on Minerva, ZAFT ship in which Athrun was posted. During the battle, Cagalli appeared in her Strike Rouge accompanied by Kira in his Freedom, trying to stop Orb forces from fighting. It didn't really work as in making the Orb forces (which was under that moron Yunna Roma's command) retreat but at least the battle got postponed. After that, Athrun managed to meet up with Kira, Cagalli and Lacus, asking why they did what they did (in this occassion, those three also found out that Athrun already re-enlisted with ZAFT and had been there in the battle too). Kira said they wanted to stop Orb and everybody from fighting and that he couldn't trust the Chairman Dullindal because there's a squad of Cooordinators tried to kill Lacus earlier. Athrun argued that the chairman was a good person who strived for peace and he told them not to do such thing again, to Cagalli to go back to Orb to fix the mess there. When he turned away and Cagalli called after him, he said coldly, "There are some things a person can't accept, although he understands. Even me." When the battle resumed later on, Athrun scolded Kira for showing up again. Kira said, "Cagalli is crying now, why can't you realize that? Instead, you think that it can't be helped - that it's Orb and Cagalli's fault - and you still wanna shoot what Cagalli is trying to protect. Then I will shoot you." And Athrun's Saviour got destroyed by Kira's Freedom.

It gets worse after Athrun's badly wounded in his escape from ZAFT (Dullindal wanted to dispose him because he didn't wanna be his puppet fighter). When he gained consciousness, he found Kira by his bed. Kira told him that Cagalli cried the whole night and she'd always been there by his side until just now. Athrun didn't comment anything, didn't have any particular expression on his face about it, instead he asked about Meyrin (a ZAFT girl who helped him escape and whom he protected with his own body when the stolen mobile suit they rode on was shot by Shinn's Destiny). Kira said that her injury is not serious. When Cagalli saw him later, Athrun looked surprised noticing his ring still around her finger but didn't say anything. Cagalli apologized about the marriage adn he said that it's for protecting Orb. He also apologized for what he did, saying that he rejoined ZAFT because he wanted to do something (and because that time he thought the chairman was a good person). And then he asked about Meyrin again! Cagalli said she's fine, just having a bit fever. He said that Meyrin saved him though they barely knew/talked to each other.

And then, Orb got attacked by ZAFT and Cagalli went to defend it in the golden mobile suit, Akatsuki, which is her father's 'will' for her. When Athrun - who's still in recovery - saw from Archangel bridge, Cagalli was about to be cut by Shinn, he gasped "Cagalli" but it didn't make him to feel the urgency/worry to jump on his feet and ran to get himself inside a mobile suit. She got saved by Orb soliders and Kira.

In Gundam Seed, it's not that both of them are always together lovey dovey etc, but I can feel that he loves her. In early episodes of Destiny, I also can feel it. However, after the marriage incident onwards, the feeling somehow gradually flickers - if not totally gone. It feels and looks like Athrun no longer cares about her, instead caring for other girls more. I think Cagalli could feel it too, that's why she decided to let go (after all, she thought and felt that she's the one who's at fault regarding the marriage). Before they went to space for final battle with Dullindal, Cagalli gave a briefing in front of Orb soldiers and Athrun noticed that she didn't wear the ring anymore. When she finished and turned around, it seemed like he wanted to say something but held back. Shouldn't it be, he chased her and said whatever he wanted to say, since going to battle?! Instead, he said to Kira that it's ok for now. What the hell he said?! It's not ok - how can it be ok!? He's about to go to battle and who knows what might happen later, common sense is that's the right time to say something to his beloved - of course if she's still his beloved, that is.

On her way out of Archangel, Cagalli bumped into Meyrin and she said, "That person (she meant Athrun)... Please take care of him. I can't go with you." Then she hurriedly left with brimming eyes. I was like, what the hell, now they want me to think that Atrun is with Meyrin?!! TSk! Until the very end, I kept hoping that I could see both of them reunite, that Athrun actually still cares for her. But nothing. It ended with the defeat of Dullindal. That's it.

And now, here comes the additional episode 51, where they make Athrun hugged Cagalli before went to the final battle. In my eyes what the creator did by making that scene is not fixing the damage but covering it - asking the viewers to magically forget that there's a damage in the first place; please just overlook and accept this. Tsk! May I remind you that in the original anime, after Archangel departed to space, they weren't directly engaged in battle with Dullindal, instead there's this case with Lacus' impostor - Meer Campbell - who's asked to lure Lacus to a trap to kill her. But then it's Meer who got shot herself in place of Lacus. And Athrun reacted as if he lost someone dear to him. Aiyah *rolls eyes*

In my opinion, what the creator should do is picking up where the original story left off, instead of trying to turn back the time and thus create contradiction and inconsistency. It would be right - believable too - if the scene of Athrun hugging Cagalli is after coming back from the final battle, showing that he still cares. But since that's not what's in episode 51, then I'm still doubtful and disappointed - much more becaue I think the creator ruining it insted of fixing it - and whatever ending episode 51 has, no matter how many alternate endings they give, it doesn't matter anymore. Even I who write odd stories without any scheme know that inconsistency is a major NO, for it kills the joy.

It's not that I don't wanna see Athrun and Cagalli together. I do, and that's why I make a fuss over it. I need to see that Athrun sincerely still cares for Cagalli, but I'm sorry that the hug before battle in eposide 51 can't convince me, because I can't just simply overwrite what's in the previous episodes with this new act. My brains and feelings don't work that way. And if nobody can see and feel like I do, then I guess I'm the only one that really truly care about the anime. What a pity, it could be a good anime, but all I can think and feel now is I wish I had never seen it, or rather, I wish they had never made it in the first place!

Anyway, I won't blame the characters, since they're innocent - it's the creator's fault and ineptitude. They are after all good characters, with Athrun and Cagalli as my favourite. I forgive them for all the bakaness the creator made them do. And I still wanna believe once again that Athrun really loves Cagalli. I guess in order to convince myself that, only one thing left to do: I'll just have to make my own story.

You want the characters to do things that you'd like them to do, but they are not doing it. Wanting Athrun to get out in a suit to rescue his girl out there... wanting him to say things that the creator doesn't make him say...

And then getting frustrated over it.

Ne.. it's other people's story after all. If they feel it's more suitable/dramatic for their characters to do/say certain things, then it's their call.

Since the creators managed to grab you like that and grab others in other ways... then actually, they have succeeded in their decision-making for the anime's action/drama. May not be the best decisions that you prefer, but you got grabbed. Hahaha.... ^_____^

Actually... you haven't been noticing... Cagalli looks like a guy. And actually, Cagalli and Athrun look about the same except for their hair color....

Hmm... have you watched Kyou Kara Maou? Many episodes and great fun to watch. Easily fall in love with it because it's got so many characters that are so lovable and loads of action, danger and full of feeling.

I didn't think I'd be so hooked to it, but... after watching the first episode just for the heck of it, it became something really great to follow. ^_^

So. Even though I loved Saiungoku Monogatari as much as I did, somehow, it seems Kyou Kara won... evidence can be seen here: wallpaper. Seems Kyou Kara and you, have moved me enough to set it up.
