Okay, if you dont know what its about its about a japanese geisha in a geisha district. ... . .I forgot the name of the district but. . .. .she is sold to this one house and she is put to work and will one day be a geisha. . ..its just a sort of documentary of this girls life (its a fiction) and how she becomes a great geisha and all that. blah blah blah.
The movie is acctually based on the book, and I thought they were both very good, despite the comments that critics have made. Though it is kinda hard to follow what happens unless you read the book. So I suggest that you read the book if you are going to or have seen the movie. The people that are in this movie have also been in quite a few other chinese, japense and other such movies.
The acting was overall pretty good and followed the characters, excapt for memeha (evil *itch that is really mean and . . .evil to chio, the little girl) and it follows the book pretty well also. ^_^
