Mm... Saw this movie just a few days ago on Thursday (22 Dec) Nic Tse is very handsome. Hehehehe....
If you can, watch it. I don't know what you might think of it, but it was good for me. I like the story which is pretty sad. It's also pretty funny with Nic Tse being such a great villain and people flying around. But...overall, it's good.
Story opens with a young girl stealing bun/some kind of cake from a dead soldier's hand. She gets it loose & almost gets away but is caught by a young boy who says she's stealing from him since those dead soldiers are his father's men. She manages to outwit him and get away but as she is crossing the lake, she accidentally drops her bun/cake which floats beautifully down the clear beautiful water. Upset, she cries.
The goddess Man Shen then appears to console her and asks if she would like a life of riches. In exchange, the child would never have love. Even if she had it, it would be lost immediately unless time could be reversed. The child agrees to the bargain and so the promise begins.
It tells the story of this child Qing Cheng who becomes a princess loved by three men. Hehehehe....
Overall, it is a Romeo Juliet kind of tragedy with some comedy if you consider the flight scenes and Nic Tse's brilliant villainy I enjoyed it and think it's better than Narnia which I watched before it on the same day. Hehehe....yeah, 2 movies on same day. Ahh...bliss.
Anyway, for more stuff on the movie, check these out:
