Yeah, Yuta That girl you drew is cute Nice Do you look like her? Hahaha..... Mmm.....Shoe, I clicked the link you gave, but I got the Newsletter: The 2005 Deviantart Summit. Ehh.....hang on. Ok, I got into your Gallery......but pictures are not downloading. Can't see anything. Mmm.....maybe will try again some other time Computer's a little weird since a while ago. Since Yuta said the X'mas one is cute, then I guess it must be I was going to say that it's too bad I haven't got anything to show, but suddenly remembered that I do have some. Hahaha.....but they were drawn when I was still into art and painting. Haven't drawn or painted anything since years ago. Was into Fantasy Art.

Hey hey! I have another drawing Look: img201.exs.cx/img201/9459/drawinginmybed4px.jpgThat's actually my most recent one I was doing it yesterday in my bed ((March 30th 2005)). But... Erk... I guess I didn't look at the time, because when I finished, it was 1:00 AM... So I finished in today ((March 31th 2005)) What do you think about it? --[Oh and, sorry for the bad scanning... ]-- And, Teahouse Keeper, you don't draw? :::Yuta:::

Yeah!! Yuta, your drawing is cute and nice It's the same girl as before? She looks the same except that she's putting her hand up. I like her feet in socks Cute Mm. I used to draw a few years ago, but after I went to art classes, I stopped. HAHAHA!!! That was because I felt that my drawings were not good enough when compared to the really good drawings by the other students. The others were really very good and I felt discouraged. If I hadn't gone to art class, I think I would have continued drawing and painting, believing that I could keep improving. You must continue if you love drawing, Yuta Yeah, Shoe, I saw all 3 drawings I agree with Yuta that the X'mas one is the best. Cute. The one with the cross on the cheek looks like Kenshin. Who are the other characters?

Post by Shoe on Apr 2, 2005 3:02:37 GMT -5
The characters from the x-mas one are: The santa: Il Palazzo (Excel saga) The elf: Kenshin (rurouni kenshin) The raindeer above the santa: Chiyo (azumanga daioh) The raindeer hugging the whatyamacallit: Kaola Suu (love hina) The dude with glasses and cigarette: Nicholas D Wolfwood (trigun) The turtle holding the sign: Tama-chan (love hina) The fairy thing: Navy (The legend of zelda) The guy at the bottom: Me (a really quick sketch) whoa, i just noticed the pics i uploaded are really small, it's photobucket.. they shrink pics bigger than 250kb. Ok, i just uploaded the x-mas one to Image shack.. here it is: img48.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img48ℑ=file02561ub.jpg

Mm? Shoe, how come clicking on the link takes me to the main page instead of your pic?? Hahaha.....
Mmm.....looks like a few people are suddenly using Imageshack. Wonder why. I thought everyone stuck to photobucket. Wonder why too. Hahaha....
Imageshack is so convenient and friendly and fast and everything. Hahaha......It was undergoing many changes before this current look though.

... Actually, I didn't know Photobucket existed... And, actually, that's not the same girl... Actually, I just draw like that: I put a line there and I don't really care if it looks like my other drawings... But actually, that's the problem, I can't seem to draw different people... Even if I put one girl with long hair and the other one with short hair and I do some little modifyings, it'll still look the same... Or almost... I suck at those things. Wow, Shoe, you do fanarts? Because I don't.... I just can't seem to do the same as the author of that manga or anime, it never look the same... GOD! I can't draw drawings of my own but I can't draw fanarts because I have to look at a model to do so! And, my drawings look the same... Meanwhile, the fanarts I do don't look the same as the author's drawings.... Omk... I'm so bad at this... ::Yuta::

Oh?? You didn't know about Photobucket? Then, when did you realise it existed? Oh? So, that's not the same girl But she's still very cute and nice Yeah, just draw for the practice and don't worry whether they look alike. You'll get better as you draw Hahaha.....don't be sad, Yuta Actually, if you look at the manga/anime drawings, you'll notice that the characters look about the same too, even though they have different hairstyles and clothes. The face shapes and eyes are alike, especially for anime. I used to think that there wouldn't be any difference at all if you swapped the anime characters' hair color and hairstyles. Hahaha!!! Well, usually people imitate their favourite artists when learning to draw. So, at first, you'll need a model to look at and copy. Later, when you get better at it, you won't need to look at models or the original drawings any more. You'll be able to draw using your own style and ideas. So, don't worry about needing a model when you draw fanart. And don't worry that your drawings look the same HAHAHAHA!!! Yuta, you're so cute when you say your drawings look the same while your fanart don't look the same as the author's drawings Don't worry The important thing is to keep drawing and have fun doing it You can have a look at manga drawing books too They have some techniques that you can pick up.

that is so true, tk. i first started drawing by copying diff. artist's drawing. all yu have to do is practice alot. through practicing, you'll notice how your work improves. and while you're at it, try to sketch something on your own. that way, you'll develop your own style in drawing. but then, no matter how hard i practice, i still can't get the boobs right. so i usually draw flat chested women.

HAHAHA!!!! Chateau, I burst out laughing when I read that no matter how hard you practised, you still couldn't get the boobs right *imagines Chateau trying to draw boobs* And that's why you draw flat-chested women Can I have a look at one of your women? Are you still practising? Hahaha..... So, Yuta, you can see that Chateau does it that way too. Copying and improving and developing your own style along the way It's usually what people do, including the mangaka who drew Naruto You can read about how mangakas started becoming good at their work by reading their biographies/information online. It's very helpful. Here's one on Masashi Kishimoto: Biography of Naruto Creator

Making a manga?? What's it about?? Is this your first manga?? Yeah, I hope it turns out good too. Hahaha.....sure would like to see it. Would like to see your women with boobs too Well, I guess it depends then. Some prefer just drawing whatever they like while others try to imitate their favourite mangakas as closely as possible Yeah, Shoe, I finally saw your X'mas pic. The links worked perfectly this time. Hahaha!!! All your characters are very cute The Santa guy is the one in your avatar (the one in your forums), right? And the fairy is the ball with wings? Hahaha.....yeah, I saw that turtle from Love Hina right away Very cute. I like Kenshin too Kaola Suu didn't look like Kaola Suu though. Hahaha......I like Wolfwood too. Cute. And of course, that little guy at the bottom of the page Cute. Mm. Here's what I just did. This is the first time I actually drew something since a long time. Haven't been drawing at all. Mm....for some reason, I've never been able to draw bodies and can only draw faces or side views. Hahaha..... img150.exs.cx/img150/8458/drawing29jw.jpg

wow. your drawing is nice, TK. yep. err.. it's about a guy who went to the past to prevent the destruction that will happen in the future. hehe . nope it isn't my first one. the previous ones aren't that good and are just for practising purposes. i really do hope i get to finish this one.

Arigatou Gozaimasu Keeper-sama! ^______^
hai hai, that is the guy from my avatar ^____^
Your drawing is really nice Keeper. ^^ Keep up the good job.
Oh yeh.. Kaola Suu... Hmmmm.. well i drawed her like she looks like in the manga. which is different from the anime. The animators of love hina the anime did it all wrong.. lol, they don't look good as the manga artwork.

AH!! Chibi Chateau is very cute Kawaii!!! Do you really look like this?? Ahh.....I like your hair and eyes. So cute. Hahaha.....Didn't expect the drawing to be so cute. Mmm.....looking forward to seeing the rest You're most welcome, Shoe Oh? I didn't know Kaolla Su looks different in the anime and manga. Oh? She looks better in the manga than in the anime?? Mm. Chateau, I hope you get to finish your manga too Yeah, usually the earlier works are just stepping stones to the big one. HAHAHA!!!! Ahh....Glad you guys liked my drawing. Thank you, thank you Unfortunately, I don't draw anymore and this one is just a random thing I did here. I haven't drawn for a very long time and don't know whether I'll ever continue from where I left off. Do you guys want to see my fantasy stuff? They are not very good, just things I did back when I was still drawing and painting. Definitely, the art school students were way better than me when I was there. And recently, I saw really beautiful watercolor paintings by an artist at the recent anime convention. Her artwork is a mix between Western fantasy art and Japanese anime/manga. Very beautiful. Seeing her work makes me wonder what would have happened if I had continued. Mm...... Have a look at her stuff here: sandara.net/ The painting I kept staring at was this (click the orange thing to enlarge): img189.echo.cx/img189/4412/faris9dn.jpgThe character looks like a Yuu Watase drawing.
