Welcome to The RPG Zone! It's quite a pity that this section has been empty for so long. Although the Teahouse Keeper is not familiar with Roleplay, it is hoped that fans will start somewhere and begin playing  Will someone begin? |

Uh, no. From what I've seen, fans roleplay characters in existing stories. For instance, there are LOTR and Star Trek roleplaying games.
For anime, players can choose to play their favourite characters. So, there are Gravitation, Wolf's Rain and other anime RPG online.
Depending on the rules of the game, new characters may also be created.
The best way to understand roleplay, is of course, to see it in action. Many anime forums have a roleplay section where fans describe the characters they're playing etc. It's very imaginative and fun.

I'd love to play roleplaying game in anime forum. But I'm still a little bit confused about the rules and the way to play it. It's kinda writing story, right?
Some days ago I visited this GB fansite named Mugenjou Crew and they've got GB RPG. Wanted to join but looked like the characters have been all taken.

 I'll RP... just let me know when I can start...  But I'd like to know what type? Wolf's Rain, Cowboy Bebop... etc? That way I can try and claim a canon... As for those who want to RP but don't know how...  Hi, make friends with me... lol I'll teach you anything, and everything... lot's of spare time... So right then, let me know when it's gonna start... unless I can start it... mawhaha...

As for what type...you decide Kaikudou, not to worry...I'll be inviting more people, so it should be ok. Enigma, if you know the game, you can go ahead and start Krizia, why is creating your own characters not allowed? You mean creating new characters in an existing story such as Wolf's Rain? I notice that in RPG, people are disappointed when their favourite characters are taken. Why don't we open new threads for those whose favourite characters have been taken? So say, you want to play Tsume, but it's taken. Just open a new thread where you can play Tsume. Also, for an anime title, how about different threads for different groups of people? So, those who want to create new characters in the anime can RP in their thread. And those who don't want new characters in the anime can have their own thread. Those who like mixing new and existing characters can open their own threads too. Yeah Pippichan, the first time I saw RPG in a forum, I was very surprised that it’s actually story writing. If you pick a favourite character, you would be writing from that viewpoint. You "become" that character, which is no different from writing characters in a novel. The difference is that in RPG, you interact with other people online. For RPG and writing stories, a good deal of imagination is required. I think RPG provides a very good training ground for writers For the Mugenjou Crew website, they have a Livejournal RPG where people assume the personalities of their favourite characters and post diary entries. It's quite interesting but pretty weird at the same time! It's different from RPG in the forums. Perhaps this time, you'll get to play your favourite GB character! |

I am actually pretty knowledgable about RP and own my own RPG site. I would love to have somewhere else to play but I don't know that much about Wolf's Rain. Anyone interested in something else? I would kill to be Yuya in SDK or Kaoru in RK.

actually you doesn't have to have a anime that has existed
you can make up one story and create your own character and be that character.
this way you will be more yourselves rather than being that anime character.

^^ Right so- if nobody minds- why don't we have a thread where it's sort of like all the shows together. Maybe all the characters and we can make a plot as we go... anyway if we do something like this or now I wish to claim Tsume.... if the mighty Teahouse keeper does not... if you do claim him then can I have Hige or Kiba, or whoever... I just love me bishies, Hige and Tsume...
If we do any other anime/manga or what not just let me know if I can join...

Yeah, JailBait's plan sounds interesting. Good heavens, all the shows together!? Wonder what's it going to look like Can you imagine Tsume talking to Vash?  Yeah JailBait, you can have Tsume. I haven't roleplayed before and won't know what to do with Tsume anyway. You guys go ahead and have fun. I think I'll just watch by the side of the pool (unless you want to drag me in). You guys can start anytime. Just make sure everyone's happy and nobody's disappointed about not getting their favourite characters. |

Class means the type of person.
like bloodguard, warrior, druid,...umm....yeah
but you can have no class if you want

Mmm? Enigma, I put up my images this way: I upload my pic to a free image host that gives me the url to use. So, in my post, I click on the "Insert Image" tag (second row, 4th tag from left). Put the url between the codes and the picture will then appear in the post. I wonder how big is your image... Hmm...without a host, how did you put up your avatar and signature image? I guess you link them directly to the website where you got them? |
