All right, you writers out there.. introduce yourselves, and tell us what you like to write. Myself, I usually write odd stories, with a touch of fantasy or science fiction or horror... if I ever actually finish I story (have only finished four, ever, and I've been obsessed with writing since I was twleve or younger).

^^, it depends on what I am inspired or feel like writting.
I wrote a nonfiction book and now I am writting a fiction book.
I want to write fanfictions, but I dont think that I would be able to start one without turning it into a whole book.....thats what ends up happening sometimes.
And I have started reading and writting when i was in 6th. so...about 11 or 12. But I wrote a book last year, 2003.

manga is fun. I just wish that I could do it. Cuase I get started and then I start thinking to much, so it gets complicat4ed and I never finish. -__-

that eally happens when you think too much.(i used to be like that too ^_^) in order not to let that happen, write the story in outline mode first then think it over again. then you start making manga.

Hello! I found this board through an email invitation. I've been writing longer than some people have been alive Most of my stuff is paranormal romance (time travel/reincarnation/magic etc) and of course fanfiction. And most recently an anime "inspired" time travel (which I should be finishing instead of goofing off online ;D)

^^, i wrote a sychotic story for a class assignment once. I dont have it any more. But when i did actually look at it months after she gave it bacvk, she wrote a note asking f everything was okay. And that if I needed to talk she was there for me. LOL!!!!!! I dont know why she thought there was a problem, but it was pretty darn funny.

haha, yeah. She was asking people is everything way okay all through the year if they wrote something a little interesting.
Cause one year a girl or guy wrote something that had happened....it was...really serious, a killing or something like that, I forgot. But she takes things very seriously now.

I've yet to finish writing a multi-part story yet. Usually my motivation and ideas fizzle out midway. I've been told my descriptions are nice and vivid, but I don't think anyone other than my friends have told me that my plots are actually good. I mainly write anime fanfiction. When I was twelve or younger, my best friend, his sister, and my sister started a Sailor Moon fanfic (before we even knew what fanfiction was). It was just 60 pages... Later on it was kind of remade into something more than 100 pages. I've never been able to write at novel length. One of my weaknesses is that if there is a minimum word limit (like in essays), I end up running out of things to write and become intentionally wordy to make up for it. I've written actual original pieces before, but mostly for Writing 12 in high school and other school projects, not of my own motivation. I also write poems (or I used to), and people actually like them. Right now I'm stuck in remaking a Full Metal Panic crossover fanfic. Here's my author link at Fanfiction.net: www.fanfiction.net/~timelessenigmaMy personal cliche is to start off a story with a depressed type mood, which is why my stories almost always start in the night and with heavy rainfall. Hopefully I'll be able to finish a fic. My first fic was inspired by a dream, or a collection of dreams that I had.

basically anything which comes across my mind. but i particularly like to write something that has something to do w/ me. perhaps about something that i wanna be or do and the way i feel and see things around me. i find writing as a way to express myself. i don't feel expressing myself verbally and directly as something comfortable nor effective. ppl tend to see what they wanna see and hear what they wanna hear. so, even though i've said many things in order to explain myself to them, they will still only see me the way they want to see me and the way they think i am coz they've already have their own version of pic of me in their head which is usually not even close to the reality. so i try to find satisfaction in expressing myself in writing. sadly, i haven't got ample time to do it lately. btw, i've continued the continuing story, would anyone want to continue the story again? i'd like to see it finished someday.

Hahaha....I think the continuing story will go on for some time, depending on how many people are contributing. Yeah, I'm also very interested to know how the continuing story will turn out. It's really amazing to see the story unfolding in different directions each time someone posts. Yeah, writing is a form of self expression driven by a need to communicate with others. Once you get started on writing, it's not something you can just forget. I read somewhere that writing is a life sentence I can't imagine life without some form of writing. Even here, I am writing, talking to you guys

Hahaha... Japanese is kinda difficult, too. You'll have to learn not only the grammar but also kanji, hiragana and katakana. Boy, that's really gives me headache. But, maybe because I'm lazy...

I've seen a bit of Katakana, it dosnt look so hard.

Well, yeah, hiragana and katakana are simpler than kanji. Still, when the three of them are put together in one sentence, it takes some effort to recognise each character then remember each word's meaning and then understand the sentence. ;D

I was told for someone who already knows the language, the differences are just like capital letters for them.

chinese is more difficult than japanese. especially traditional chinese. chinese classes are disliked almost by everyone in school since it has three subjects. (literature, history and chinese math <i hate math the most. especially geometry when you need to prove your answer using chinese characters. it sucks>) kanji is quite similar to chinese , i think

*nod* Yup, it's similar to chinese characters. Hmm... *thinking* I think both japanese and chinese are difficult. ;D

I started illustrating a manga book called "Oame" recently-it's about this kid who is trapped in a home full on non-reflective objects- he/she can't even tell what gender he/she is....it's super suspensful the kid supposedly has a really bad case of Scitsofrenia (split personality) so ever since he/she was three he/she had all these weird restrictions-but I'm proud of it!
