A tad big?? How dare you! *whips out big blaster* Yeah, actually, I thought it should be smaller too. But it's really cute as it is and may not appear as good if its size is reduced.

Ooh, glad you like it, Krizia! Hahaha...actually, this is the...*tries to recall* 3rd or 4th revamp when it comes to wallpaper and pics changes. It will keep changing according to the anime I happen to love at the moment The previous one was Wolf's Rain with a dark background. This time, I thought a light background would be a change. Besides, Last Exile wallpapers are brightly coloured and look better as a light background rather than dark.

What has there been so far? I've seen Wolf's Rain, Last Exile, and I read that there was Trigun. What else has been used for lay outs?

Mm....first was Trigun with Vash (blue background), then Cowboy Bebop with Spike (dark blue), then Wolf's Rain (black) and finally Last Exile (white)....Ooh, that's 4 revamps altogether Before Trigun, it was just the standard proboards layout which was quite dull. Starting from Wolf's Rain, the number of images increased and it's now a "theme" thing. So Wolf's Rain images go with Wolf's Rain background. Previously, images from other anime went with the Trigun and Bebop backgrounds The "theme" thing might change however...it depends. What do you think about having non-matching background and images?

I think the images and backgrounds should match. In my opinion, it looks nicer than having mismatched themes.

Yeah, I think that mismatched background and images seem rather uncoordinated and messy... On the other hand, I was also thinking that mismatch might be interesting...There would be different images highlighting different anime that different people like...Might be good. So, that's why I can't be certain whether to keep the theme thing But seems the theme thing will stay, at least for a while longer until I'm not in love with any particular anime and want a change at the same time.

Maybe its okay to mix things up, as long as they are in the same category. I mean, you cant put say..a Gravitation background with something that is nothing like it like....er...sailor moon.

Post by Teahouse Keeper on Nov 8, 2004 22:53:36 GMT -5
Oh! I hadn't thought of that, Krizia! Same category...Hmm...Yeah, Gravitation with Sailor Moon would be so funny Yeah, it would be so weird. So far, I haven't tried a background with images from more than 1 anime. So previously, it was Cowboy Bebop background with Getbackers images only. Later, I replaced the images with Peace Maker Kurogane. I was already thinking that the non-matching look seemed a little strange... I've been wondering about the creek, Krizia...You think maybe the military did some experiment and it escaped into the creek area? Experiment #626?

|
|
Post by Sassy2021111 on Nov 9, 2004 17:13:35 GMT -5
Peace Maker Kurogane and Ruroni Kenshin might look nice together, since they fall into the same category. If it has the right pictures that is.
About the creek, Im not exactly sure..but thats a possible theory. The military IS ALWAYS hiding something lol. Perhaps I should head out there...befriend the creature...send my story to Japan and end up in an anime! How many stories are there where a girl befriends a monster from a creek?

I completely forgot about Lilo & Stitch lol. I want a cute little monster like that!

Yeah! When I first saw Stitch, he was soooo cute, I wanted to hug him so much! So squishable!! The stuffed toy is very different from the animated version and just doesn't do him justice. I think Stitch is the cutest Disney creature I've ever seen.

Oh! That's great Krizia! What's the story about? Was it drawn manga-style?
|
|
|
Post by Sassy2021111 on Nov 20, 2004 6:39:43 GMT -5
Some of it is drawn manga style. Im not too good at drawing so its nothing breath-taking. But its good enough to get attention ^.^
When I first started it, there was no real point to the comic. I was just bored. Thats why I titled it "Randomness: A tale of pure stupidity". Then somewhere down the line, there was a real story about a group of friends who wanted to be super heros but they couldnt because none of them had any powers. Then a girl comes along and shows them they dont really need powers to be a hero...
Doesnt sound to interesting, but people find it funny ^.^. The main characters are: A 15 year old girl who thinks she's a ninja, another 15 year old girl that believes she is an elf, a 12 year old that loves breaking things, a 17 year old drunk teen, a girl named Payton (who is the one that shows them how to be heros in the end) and a guy named Mark, who leads the team.
Its comedy/romance/action ^.^

Hey, sounds really interesting!! And you called it "a tale of pure stupidity"?? Sounds inspirational, like Naruto Could I see it? Maybe just a little?

Yep, I really called it that. Like I said, I did it because I was bored, and hadnt actually expected it to become popular....
I wish I could show it..but my scanners on the fritz! As soon as I get it fixed, I'll see if I can get it up!
Oh, and do you recommend any other threads for me to check out?

Oh yeah! I definitely hope your scanner is up and running soon Hmm? What threads do you mean?

I had someone come take a look at the scanner, and it looks like I'll have to get a new one. I'll start checking prices soon.
Threads..I mean which other topics of the board should I try to join?

Is your scanner very old? Mine is...quite old, I think. I can't remember when I bought it. I don't use it often but it's very useful when I need it Do you look for a particular brand? Or do you just go for the price? Oh! I thought that you were already visiting everything in this forum! You can join any topic/thread that you like For me, I go all over the place, talking to you guys and having fun at the same time In fact, I hope that everyone will post and start new threads. Keep the place busy and fun

Yeah, its a pretty old scanner. I've had this one for...wow, I've lost count! I guess its about time I got a new one anyway. Im not too picky on brand, as long as Im getting good quality for what I pay.
Im reading around and posting here and there, but really, I havent gotten involved in too many other threads. I think Im starting to drift away...like I do on other boards >.<

Krizia...come on. Just post and get involved in any way you like. It's true there are not many people here, but it does take time for a new forum to grow. Many people don't have the patience to wait....But I think in your case, it's not about the number of people or the topics. It's something else. Mm...I don't want you to drift away, Krizia

Yeah, Krizia! Glad you'll try to stick with us Find something interesting that you want to do here. Start new threads or try something that you feel will be interesting for you and others as well. I think staying in a forum is a matter of personal interest. There are people who stay for years in a forum....and there are also those who just drift around. Personally, I don't find much meaning in drifting around because I feel that it's not the forum but the people that counts. Forums are the same everywhere. The difference is the people and the level of interaction. Most of the forums I've explored are very impersonal. People just post in reply to a question and that's it. There's hardly any interaction or getting-to-know-one-another sort of thing The only times I see interaction in those forums, are when people are arguing/debating about something. Mmm....what do you think about opening another category where you guys can make little personal entries like a mini blog place? I think the Teahouse will be the only forum that has such a thing! But I think it'll be fun The category will be open to everybody and anyone's free to post replies.

I dont mind hanging around and reading the threads, but when it comes to actually posting, I freeze for some reason. Maybe Im people shy or something lol.
I think that blog idea would be pretty interesting. I havent seen any other boards with things like that. It would definetly be a unique feature!

Oh! So, Krizia, you get stage fright...in a forum? But if that's the case, then it's really not so bad All you need is some time to feel at home, relax, get warm, get cosy, hot chocolate drink, blanket.... Ok then! I'll launch the blog thing very soon! The only thing that comes close is the journal thing in deviantart forum. But that's different because the journal is not in the forum itself. People only see the journals by clicking on a member's profile.

I dont know what it is actually, Im not all that shy, but for some reason here Im scared to say what I have to say. Maybe Im afraid of looking like an idiot. You know, that hot chocolate idea isnt all that bad..I could use a mug of the stuff! Well, once you get it up, I'll make sure to participate
