I just recently recieved the first two books forGravitation for my birthday, and I have to say I enjoyed them, despite the um...interesting...scenes. At first, I wasnt sure because of the whole guy-on-guy thing, but It kind of grew on me....has anyone else read it?

Your birthday?? Ooh...then I'm late in wishing you Happy Birthday! I thought it was quite interesting that someone gave you Gravitation as a gift without knowing whether you'd like it...pretty risky because not everybody likes yaoi (guy-on-guy thing). I haven't seen the manga but I watched the anime Pop over to the anime movies/vcd/dvd section... It's very sexy and romantic...Lovely when they kiss I don't know how different/explicit the manga is compared to the anime, but I think the anime is pretty good. Hmm...maybe I should get the manga too. I wonder whether the rental shop has it...

Thanks!
Thats true, it is kind of risky, but my friends gave it a go because they wanted me to 'try reading a new genre'. When they gave me the books they gave me the reciet. They said if I didnt like it I could return them....but I think I'll keep them!
Im sure the manga doesnt show as much as the anime does, but there is alot of kissing and feeling up on people!
I'll definety jump on over to the anime movies/music/DVD section, since I have a few questions on the DVDs

Ah, you've very nice friends Argh. The rental shop said they don't have Gravitation. Incidentally, they don't have Bronze/Zetsuai either. Hmm... Oh, is your Gravitation manga in English?

Oh! The rental shop made a mistake when one of the staff said they didn't have Gravitation manga. The other day, I asked another one of the staff who showed me their 11 manga volumes!!! WHOA!!! I'm now into Gravitation manga!! Ahh...the sex scenes turn me on Not really explicit but still hot and sexy! I really love Shuichi. He's so adorable, I can understand why the normally mean Yuki loves and desires him so much. Shuichi is very honest, innocent and lovable. The sex scenes are especially comical and hot at the same time. His protests are cute and hilarious when combined with Yuki's deadpan reaction. I love the part where Shuichi is ill in bed and Yuki comes to visit Also the part where they have sex for the first time. Ahh...Shuichi is so cute and sexy, I want him too! His body looks so soft and desirable.... Actually, Yuki started the whole sex thing. Shuichi just wanted to be with him. Just being near Yuki was enough until Yuki started pouncing on him. After the first time, they just keep ending up in bed. I think it's Yuki who has the hots for Shuichi rather than the other way around After reading volumes 1-3 of the manga, I realise that there's quite a big difference between manga and anime. First off, in the manga, except for Hiroshi and Yuki, the drawings of Shuichi and the other characters look very different from the anime. Also, Shuichi and Hiroshi have siblings and live with their parents. In the anime, it seems as if Shuichi and Hiroshi are alone and share the same apartment. Many of the events and sequences in both manga and anime are different. In the anime, Yuki seems like a gentle lover, but in the manga, Yuki is actually very rough. His love-making is like rape and Shuichi ends up in tears, complaining in his cute, sexy and hilarious way that Yuki is an "animal". I guess with 13 episodes, the anime cuts to the chase as soon as possible. It's still very good with zero actual sex scenes. I enjoy both anime and manga very much Going to read the rest of the manga!!

They had volumes 1-11? Thats awsome. Everywhere I look, they seem to skip straight over 3 and 4. I got impatient and bought number 5 already, so now I have #'s 1,2 & 5...Im not worried though, eventually I'll have the entire collection. Its too good to pass up!
A friend of mine bought the first two DVD's so I have to watch those!

Yeah, Gravitation is too good to miss! I should mention that the manga I'm reading is in Chinese, so that's why there's a whole set. It was published years ago. I think the series may still be running in Japan. The English/American version is recent, so they may not have the entire set and perhaps some volumes are missing/late in publication. Hey, do you know there's OVA for Gravitation? I didn't know that until I saw the review online! I haven't seen it and will try getting it

You read it in chinese? Yeah okay, that could explain why you found it then ^.^ They dont sell anything in chinese over here.
I didnt know there was an OVA. I guess thats something new to add to my christmas list!

Hahaha....Yeah, Krizia, I read Chinese I have to because firstly, the English/American editions are slow in coming whereas the Chinese versions are already out. Second, it's very expensive to buy the American editions. There're no English versions for rent. Third, I think the Chinese translations are more accurate than English/American. So, the meaning and humour are better preserved in the Chinese versions. I went back to the rental shop last night and realized that there're actually 12 manga volumes of Gravitation, not 11 That's supposed to be the first set, so I expect there's more. Also, I mentioned the Chinese editions were published years ago...In fact, they were published between 1999--2003 (volume 1 to volume 12). So, they're recent too! Yeah, I'm looking forward to downloading the OVA...but it seems there's something wrong with the episodes in Bittorrent Waiting for things to be ok.

Theres no place around here where we can rent books so If I want to read it, I have to buy it. Im not sure I'll be able to buy all 12+ books that come out, because at 10 dollars each, its alot of money, but hopefully I'll get them!

Krizia, I was wondering....the bookstore here has got volumes 1 to 8. I could buy the ones you want and mail them to you. But it would cost you more than what you pay for at the moment. Airmail is expensive.
I guess you wouldn't want to spend more than US$10 for the manga and would rather wait for it to arrive at your shops?

I managed to get a hold of copies 1-9, not including number 3. I swear that book is no where to be found. I appreciate your offer, but lately my mail has been going somewhere else for some reason..I dont want to take any chances!
If in two weeks I dont find number 3...I might have to take you up on your offer.

Oh, I see! So, you're a collector? Mm, yeah, not having a complete set feels strange. I mean, you've all the volumes of a series except one...the one that got away It would bug me too. Have you got volume 3 yet? Actually, if you really can't get it, you can always order it online. How many manga series do you have? Do you actually read all of them or just collecting? I tend to buy books without reading...somehow, owning a book makes me not read it. But if it's borrowed or rented, then I absolutely must finish reading otherwise, there'll be overdue fines etc...That's why I stopped buying books a long time ago

Yeah, I've ordered it off of amazon. Hopefully it will be here soon! I've read every book that Ive bought, more than once ^.^ Some might say that with the amount of manga and anime I have, I should open my own mini-library. Everyone already borrows from me anyway. If Its borrowed, I read it once and Im done with it. I value what I have! lol.
I have: The Demon Ororon Excel Saga Gravitation, fushigi Yuugi Sailor Moon Ceres Mars
And much more!

You paid double? Well now, you've got the complete set! WHOA!!! Your list!! WHOA!!! My goodness!! That's really a library! Wolf's Rain? I didn't know there was a manga of it! Boys Over Flowers....you've got that too! Did you see the Taiwanese drama serials of Boys Over Flowers (Meteor Garden and its sequel)? What's Demon Ororon about? Do you collect anime artbooks as well? I was thinking...since you keep your books in good condition, do you worry when your friends borrow from you? Do you make them swear to take good care of your stuff? Sign a contract in blood?

Yeah, I have alot of comic books...and thats just the manga. I didnt even include the Marvel, DC, Novels and Magazines I have ^.^ I read alot. Can you tell? Lol
The Manga was just recently released here, so Im not sure if it may be out where you are. I havent been able to see Boys over Flowers, I've only been able to read the books. Is it good?
I dont have art books, but I'd like to. The Demon Ororon is about the King of Hell, Ororon that doesnt want to be the king anymore, so he escapes from hell. He finds himself homeless on a street with no where to go. Ororon is found by a girl by the name of Chiaki, who happens to be the daughter of an angel and human. Ororon falls for her and vows to stay with her forever. Well, with Ororon gone trouble in hell begins. The Demons turn on each other, and soon, Ororon's older brother decides he wants the thrown..so he goes after Ororon..I suck at summaries..would you like me to find you the site?
I trust my close friends to take care of my things, but if someone I dont really know wants to borrow something Im careful about it. If my book gets messed up, I charge them.

Oh my goodness. You're really a collector So many books...how do you find space to keep them all? Your room must be like....Whoa!!! Yeah, I find that your writing is very visual like a manga/comic and your English is quite good So, yeah, I guessed that you read a lot But I was thinking that you read novels rather than comics/manga. Yeah, the drama serials of Boys Over Flowers were so good that it shot the 4 actors to fame overnight The 2 serials were over some time back. Everywhere in Asia, girls and women went crazy over the F4 (Flowers 4). The guys were really handsome and even though the craziness has died down, I still think they are handsome and cool now. There's actually a Boys Over Flowers manga artbook. Have you seen it? Hey, your description of Demon Ororon is really good!! It's a really good story!! Very interesting!! Romantic! I hope Ororon and his brother are 2 really handsome dudes Yeah, please, if you've got a site for Ororon, it'd be great! Thanks Oh! People you don't really know borrow from you as well? Wow. You mean you charge them the price of the book if they mess it up? What if they don't pay? Has anyone messed up your books before?

How I find space...thats a good question! I organize them in ways that allow me to fit more in. Some graphic novels are placed in a vertical way, others horizontal. Also, I never have all my books together at once, since someones always borrowing something, so that helps. I used to read alot of novels and then little by little it shifted back to comics and manga. I still read regular novels occasionally, for school and such. I've already read my novels and I hate re-reading those. Theres only one I can keep reading over and over and thats: As the wolf loves winter. Im glad my writing is visual. I enjoy writing as well and I want my readers to picture what Im telling them! Heres a link you might want to check out. It even has previews of each Ororon book. www.tokyopop.com/dbpage.php?propertycode=AKU&categorycode=BMGYeah...I love the F4! We dont have anything like that here...but I wish I did. The situations that happen in Boys over Flowers are so amuzing! I havent seen the art book. I had heard of it, and had asked my best friend to get it for me for christmas, but now shes mad at me so who knows. Yeah, people I dont know walk up to me and ask me to borrow things. Its weird that they know who I am, but I dont know them..then again...alot of people I dont know seem to know me lately. Well, Ive never had to actually charge anyone yet, so I dont know what would happen if they didnt pay. Id probably chase them down and beat them upside the head..lol. Just kidding, Im not violent unless I really have to be!

How do you keep track of the books that are loaned out? I checked out As the Wolf Loves Winter....it's by David Poyer. It's literature with a factual basis rather than fantasy or sci-fi. I thought you were into Fantasy and Sci-fi I got the genre wrong Yeah, I also checked out the link for Ororon. Thanks! That's the Tokyopop site. I looked at the sample pages. Mmm...I like the story but was a little disappointed with the drawings. Why's your best friend mad at you? Mm...I've been thinking of opening an online anime store that sells books etc. Since we are talking about Boys Over Flowers artbook, I was wondering whether you'd be interested in buying from me? It'll be new and shrink wrapped. As for the price, I'll check the total cost (including shipping) and let you know if you're interested

I read mostly comic books and such, but you hand me a book I havent read, and I'll read it. Thats just how I am ^.^
Yeah the art isnt as great as I expected, but I fell in love with the story. I cant wait to see the movie they are working on. It isnt by the same artist, so the art might be better.
She's mad at me because for some reason, I've become quite popular in school because of my comic, and she hasnt. She feels ignored.
Id be willing to buy it, but really its up to my parents. Just give me the prices ^.^

Oh! That's interesting! You'll read any book that's recommended to you. It's a good thing because that's how you discovered Gravitation An Ororon anime movie? Or a TV series? Yeah, it would be great to see the anime. Would be interesting to see how different or good the drawing is in the animated version. Hahaha...so your friend feels neglected by all the attention you're getting. Mm...are you sure it's because you've become popular? Maybe it's because of something else? Ok, I'll check out the total cost of that artbook and let you know

I have a certain list of books I want and once I get them all, Im officially done buying books. I need to start saving for college, in case something happens and I cant get a scholarship.
Its a movie. Im not sure when its gonna be released.
Yeah, Im sure thats what it is, because she tells me that she gets very annoyed that everyone asks for me and no one ever asks for her, that people are always asking her when I'll be done with the next part of randomness, and that people dont really talk to her unless Im there.

Mmm....Krizia, I checked out the artbook. There're a few copies of it. They are all shrink wrapped, but all 6 are not in perfect condition. The best one has a slight scrape at the bottom edge of the cover and the strip of promotional paper around the book is quite damaged. The rest have been ruined, strangely, by the tightness of the shrink wrap which caused the books to bend and buckle. I guess you wouldn't want to spend money on something less than perfect. I've tried searching elsewhere but couldn't find it I hope you're not too disappointed. Ah.....your poor friend. People don't really talk to her unless you're there? That's terrible. Why do people treat her like that? It's no wonder she's mad at you. I understand how she must feel. It must be frustrating being bothered by people like that. If they want to know about your randomness, they should ask you. And you should ask them to come to you instead of bothering your friend. Mm....if she's a good friend, you've to talk to her, Krizia. Hopefully, things will be ok between you two

So the books arent in perfect condition? That stinks, oh well..I guess all I can do is continue buying the series! Thats enough artwork for me right there lol ^.^
Yeah, things between her and I have cleared up. Ive talked to many of my friends and Ive told them to stop bugging her about me. I understand that sometime it can be tiring to hear about a person over and over so Im not offended.
I finally found a copy of the third gravitation book! *Does a little dance*
